Androstenone Pheromone Concentrate Review
With an objective but arduous name, Androstenone Pheromone Concentrate (APC, for short) has enjoyed popularity for several years. Because of the use of androstenone in the product, it has a scent similar to Primal Instinct (PI). Users have reported that the two do not smell the same, even in unscented versions. Perhaps it is the process at which the two are extracted that makes them so different. Maybe it has to do with the difference of impurities in each. It could be both. The fact remains, however, that Primal Instinct and Androstenone Pheromone Concentrate should theoretically have very similar effects on women since they claim to have the same active ingredient. We'll see about that.
Product Information
APC, as I will refer to it, seems to have a more "synthetic" smell to it than PI. It is a bit lighter, and seems to have less extreme reactions from both sexes when smelled right out of the bottle. The 20/80 ratio of like to dislike is back, similar to PI - just not nearly as pronounced on either side. While my girlfriend hates PI out of the bottle, she doesn't detest APC as much. I feel about the same way. My mother liked Androstenone Pheromone Concentrate less than PI, but she preferred these two over all the others I had with me.
I really don't like the branding on the package featured in the top picture. Featuring sexist marketing crap on the packaging and entirely unnecessary "blister-wrap" plastic housing, it is obvious that this product is meant to be in novelty stores. In addition to that, the amount of pheromones in APC is minimal at best (according to reviews and forums at Love-Scent). Human Pheromone users generally report APC as being very weak. This collective opinion aligns well with the price point of $30 ($20 elsewhere on the net) and my own findings. I could not find a company website, but googling "IPD Inc Wichita KS" shows their location on Google Maps, and from that you can retrieve their phone number if you want to contact them.
Androstenone Pheromone Concentrate Ingredients
This product says it contains "concentrated human pheromones" on the back label. The listing is as follows: Di-Propylene Glycol (Styrax Benzoin), Essential Oils, Fragrance, Concentrated Human Pheromones. Androstenone Pheromone Concentrate does seem to smell like PI in a strange way. I can verify that it definitely seems to have at least a small amount of androstenone in it due to that smell alone.
Remember that androstenone is the very worst pheromone to overapply. The scent on APC is very strong, too, so one or two drops from the dropper cap should generally do the trick. Consider that the overall look of APC is very similar to PI down to even the way it is applied. Everything is the same, and I'm pretty sure PI came first. Blue bottle, black cap, dropper dispenser on the top, silver label with red lettering. The phrase "WTF" came up frequently in my mind when I got the products simultaneously in the mail.
My Experiences with APC
To put things simply and bluntly,I haven't noticed a single reaction yet. I've been using APC over the course of three days. I went to the post office, my old college, friends' places, gas stations, and a bar. I'm always very aware and alert to people's reactions, but I haven't gotten even a single glance out of the ordinary. The big old lady at the Holiday station talked about how horrible the weather has been lately, but she has done that many times on and off pheromones. I still have to try going to the fitness center with these on, but I'm really not expecting much, as it is just tortuous to expect reactions when none are given. I feel ashamed to have spent money on this stuff and it pisses me off that Love-Scent even carries crap like this. If I notice anything different in future tests, I'll add an edit to this post near the top and adjust the score as necessary. With what I've seen thus far, I'm not expecting much.
While I personally like the scent just a tiny bit better than PI, it still smells pretty bad. In contrast with its competitor, however, Androstenone Pheromone Concentrate doesn't seem to work on anyone I know. This product is cheaper for a very substantial and immediately apparent reason.
Two older women I know seem to like this scent a little more than average when they smell it from the bottle. Girls closer to my age, however, seem to have serious problems with smelling APC from the bottle, especially my girlfriend. I'm not sure what this might mean, but as I've stated many times, this product simply doesn't stack up to its competition well.
If you really want to purchase this stuff, feel free to get it from Love-Scent if you want to support me. However, you definitely shouldn't have problems finding APC elsewhere, as their distribution model seems as strikingly effective as their marketing. Love-scent asks a higher price than other places for Androstenone Pheromone Concentrate, but they are very secure and Bruce, the owner, is a good guy.

2 / 10 stars
Pheromones Reviewer Says:
Being as generous as I could, Androstenone Pheromone Concentrate only earns two stars. Going past the marketing, attempted product cloning, and low price, I have seen no results at all with various amounts of APC applied. The only reason it gets two stars is because my mother liked it and I have to consider the possibility that other older women might be alright with it too. I still couldn't advise anyone to purchase this product, since PI and many other products are better in nearly every conceivable way.

I recently purchased this product, I wore it one day and also noticed it smelled like crap. I just read this review, after I bought this product, and now I feel like I wasted my dam cash! I don't think I will be wearing this stuff any more.
